CASE STUDY

Geothermal energy | United Kingdom

The GLL project is a portfolio of ground-source heat pump projects at 21 agricultural and commercial sites in the UK.

With unit capacities ranging from 200 kW to 4 MW, these installations supply heating and domestic hot water to retirement and nursing homes, poultry farms and a specialist drying company.

These projects benefit from the Renewable Heat Incentive support mechanism set up in 2011 in the UK to promote the development of low-carbon heat production projects in the country.
