Solar thermal technology produces heat from the sun using solar collectors. It is particularly suited to heating needs below 250°C, through the production of hot water in the industrial, commercial and residential sectors, and for district heating projects.
Our solar thermal projects capture solar energy to generate hot water for various heating applications.
Solar thermal technology is a low-carbon heat production solution that can meet the heat requirements of many low-temperature processes, particularly in the pre-heating and drying phases. Around 30% of total industrial heat demand involves temperatures below 140°C, making solar thermal particularly suitable. With its substantial hot water requirements, the food industry in particular represents a prime sector for the integration of solar thermal energy as a lever for decarbonization.
