Initiated in October 2021, this program aims to develop energy efficiency and electrification projects at Forvia’s production sites around the world.
Schneider Electric plays the role of technical partner ensuring the design, integration and maintenance of the equipment over a period of between 10 and 15 years. Schneider Electric guarantees a minimum level of energy savings, the achievement of which is validated by a measurement and verification protocol in line with IPMVP standards, the benchmark in this field.
Kyotherm acts as a financial partner, setting up an Energy Performance Contract based on an Energy-as-a-Service model. This means that Forvia bears no investment costs for the implementation of these energy efficiency projects, and benefits from a reduction in its energy bill from the very first year.
Committed since the last quarter of 2021, this program has enabled the completion of 7 energy efficiency projects and 2 electrification projects located in France, Germany, Poland, Romania and the United States.
Each year, these projects generate 9.6 GWh in electricity savings and 6.9 GWh in gas savings, and reduce the automotive supplier’s CO2 emissions by more than 6,300 tonnes.
