La géothermie consiste à capter et exploiter la chaleur du sous-sol. En fonction de la profondeur, elle est dite de surface ou profonde. Cette énergie géothermique présente l’avantage de ne pas être saisonnière, elle ne nécessite pas d’être stockée et peut servir à la fois à la production de chaleur et de froid.
Nous investissons dans des infrastructures destinées à exploiter l’énergie géothermique, tant à basse température avec des pompes à chaleur qu’à haute température avec des doublets géothermiques profonds.
La géothermie offre des avantages majeurs pour la production de chaleur, notamment d’un point de vue économique. D’une part, la géothermie présente des coûts d’exploitation stables, réduisant les risques liées aux fluctuations des prix des combustibles fossiles. D’autre part, les installations géothermiques présentent une durée de vie relativement longue, réduisant les coûts de maintenance et de remplacement. La géothermie est une énergie résiliente mais aussi disponible sans discontinuité sur près de 90% du territoire français.
