In September 2022, Kyotherm closed the financing of the installation of new equipment to increase the nominal production capacity of its Chipping Camden site in the United Kingdom from 5t/h to 8t/h.
The equipment in question includes in particular a dryer, a hammermill, a press and two new sheds, one intended to house two 1 MW wood-fired boilers and the other serving as storage space.
This site acquired in 2020 by Kyotherm will see its annual production of EN+ superior quality pellets increase from 30,000 tonnes per year today to 60,000 tonnes per year in 2024. Those pellets are destined to the UK market, which suffers from a deficit of domestic production and will allow to produce around 260 GWh of local renewable heat.
